Legal Highs: A Concise Encyclopedia of Legal Herbs & Chemicals
With Psychoactive Properties
by Adam Gottlieb
Custommer's
comments:
This book supplies everything you need to know for safe dosage
and aquisition of legal herbs and chemicals with psychoactive
properties. Whether you are a new tripper, or a seasoned veteran,
the book is a must. Have fun, and enjoy!
This is a very concise though informative review of a LOT
(believe me) of psychoactive plants and substances you can
find in nature. It includes the effects, dosage, contraindications
and even some suppliers (though those are not really helpful).
This is the best information I could find on the subject.

Psychedelics Encyclopedia
by Peter G. Stafford, Jeremy Bigwood
Psychedelics
Encyclopedia is a fascinating historical reference on psychedelics-from
the LSD-25 of the 60s to the memory enhancers of today. It
draws from scientific research, personal accounts, and popular
literature to document the properties attributed to psychedelic
substances, their preparation and use, and the shifting social
attitudes towards them over the past half-century. This is
a remarkable sourcebook for anyone interested in the psychological,
biological, physiological, and cultural aspects of psychedelics.
Information on the history, botany, pharmacology, physical
effects, mental effects, forms, and sources for: Marijuana
& Relatives, LSD, Peyote Mescaline & San Pedro, Psychoactive
Mushrooms, The MDA Cluster, Yage & Harmaline, Ibogaine,
Short Acting Tryptamines (DMT, DET, DPT), and many other psychoactive
substances.

Plants of the Gods
by Richard Evans Schultes, Albert Hofmann, Christian Rätsch
Custommer's comments:
I think this is such a wonderfully done book. The pictures
and discriptions of the plants and their uses are exellent.
All the pictures are very clear & the discriptive history
of the plants and what the Shamans used them for are well
defined. This is a very educational book and I agree with
another reviewer that said it should be required reading in
all schools.
Proper education and not propaganda is the answer. Knowledge
is your friend.
The writing style makes this work much more accessible and
enjoyable to read than other texts. The text is supported
by excellent illustrations. Plants of the Gods is in a class
of it's own.

Iif you have one book [if like me you have many ] this will
keep you intertained for hours as well as provide a lot background
into the make up of some of our favorite strains. I love the great pictures in this book. The information is very helpful in describing each type of bud. It tells you what to expect from each one. I find this very helpful when researching buds. As a graphic designer I think this layout is top notch. Crisp, clear and easy to understand.

It's
surely a sign of the (high) times that marijuana is becoming
increasingly visible and increasingly respectable, easily
surviving every effort by the federal government and the bluenoses
to suppress it. As well, ganja fans have become more discriminating,

or the insecticide-soaked leaf. Catering to this new sophistication,
The Good Bud Guide offers the reader the most relevant details
of the heavenly bud in a concise, easy-to-use format. Designed
like a guide to fine wines, this handy book features a wide
range of strains, each accompanied by an educated evaluation
of its aroma, taste, and effect; high-quality glossy images;
and precise growing information to help discerning enthusiasts
identify the best-bred bud and perhaps even grow their own.
Chapters on grow-room tips, humidity, cuttings, hash-making,
and basic and high-tech paraphernalia round out the experience,
